This research builds on recent examinations of the root causes and mechanisms of healthy life extension associated with calorie restriction. These scientists have a candidate for the underlying mechanism, and they have been trying to boost that mechanism in studies. They are meeting with some success, it would appear, and have an ambitious roadmap ahead of them. We wish them luck and speed in developing therapies based on this research.
