Maryland Considers Public Stem Cell Research

This short piece presents another example of the continuing ripple effects caused by the passage of Proposition 71 in California. The bills ... would create a legal framework for conducting stem cell research. It would also provide state funds to underwrite research in a field that has inflamed passions in medical, scientific and religious communities."
